Additional Information on Small Flow Treatment Facility (SFTF):
- This system may only be used when soils are documented as not suitable for the installation of an individual or community on-lot sewage treatment system permitted by local agencies
- The first step in assessing any lot for potential SFTF use is to have the lot tested for an on-lot system. The testing is done by the Sewage Enforcement Officer employed by the local agency
- A SFTF consist of a treatment tank, filtration system, disinfection and outfall sewer
